Constructed Landscapes

For several years now I have been exploring my relationship to the the natural environment and creating photographs of that activity. I am most interested in the bits and pieces, the details and spaces of the landscape. These are the elements that I enjoy observing and contemplating. I have taken portions of these elements to construct imaginary landscapes, in which the visual relationships between parts allow a more “complete” landscape to emerge. The images are all constructed digitally from my library of photographs taken in western Ireland over the course of several visits.
